Jade: censer
Description
One lilac-grey jade censer. Dark brown vein. Cylindrical upper section surmounted by shishi guardian lion. Abruptly swells at the waist into the form of a hemisphere supported on three equidistantly-spaced legs with rounded feet. On opposing sides the shoulders of the censer are extended into carved animal heads the hanging tongues of which curve back into the censer's body. Each animal tongue is encircled by a loose ring.
