One female mandarin badge of embroidered silk in two parts, featuring phoenix, as attached to ceremonial robe.

Part of small collection given by Alley to H.M. Sievwright during his visit to Gansu in 1947, delivering Corriedale sheep from New Zealand to the Shandan Bailie School. Gifted by Mrs A. Sievwright, of Timaru, to Canterbury Museum in 1975.
