Description
One round shaped, white and blue ceramic dish. Shallow dish with a shallow base. A light blue underglaze with darker blue painted details. On the outside of the dish is a series of eight designs bordered by two thin lines under the rim of the dish and a band of abstract pattern at the base. On the inside of the dish is an abstract botanical pattern bordered by a thin line under the rim, with a landscape image and two figures enclosed in a circle, bordered by two thin lines in the centre. Inscription on bottom: 大明萬曆年製 ‘made during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty’.
Provenance
Present from Beijing Palace Museum in 1959.
