Description
One glazed blue and white ceramic snuff bottle. A short narrow neck surmounts an elongated cylindrical body with a circular base. Neck ringed with abstract design of dots and crosses. Body presents a continuous design of adults and children playing in a garden. Base exhibits incised pattern of concentric circles.
Provenance
One of a consignment carried to New Zealand in 1957 by George Jackson of Auckland, and from Auckland to Christchurch by Jack Locke, including 22 snuff bottles.
