Snuff Bottles

Small and durable, snuff bottles were easy to carry to New Zealand. Alley added to Canterbury Museum's snuff bottle collection from the 1930s until the 1970s. He was also able to dispatch snuff bottles with travellers to carry back to Canterbury Museum when export licenses for older objects were not forthcoming.
