Seal: wood

One red-brown wooden seal in the form of a flattened rectangular tablet. Upper third of seal face presents carved design of two stylised felines supporting a wheel beneath which are four Chinese characters. Lower two-thirds of seal define a square shape within which a dense array of Chinese characters are contained within a decorative border, part of the Preface to the collection known as 'The Gathering at the Orchid Pavilion'.
