Money: sword

One sword-shaped implement constructed from ~one hundred and seventeen circular square-holed Qing dynasty coins bound together with loops of red yellow and green string. The pommel comprises ~forty seven coins ringing a central spindle. The cross guard and blade comprise ~seventy coins laid flat in overlapping pairs culminating in a metal flange at the blade tip. The coins defining either side of the cross guard are disposed reverse side up (i.e. they present various Manchu mint marks); the coins comprising the blade present their obverses on one side of the sword and their reverses on the other.
