Ceramic: figure

One unglazed light tan earthenware figure presented standing erect on a small round base. Figure is depicted with legs together and both arms bent with the hands stacked across his front. Figure wears a knee-length robe with out-turned collar out turned and a hat which extends over the ears and back of neck to the shoulders.

Carried from China to Canterbury Museum by Margaret Garland, who visited China in 1952 to attend the Asia-Pacific Peace Conference.
